The Ice Man Gylfi Sigurdsson is wanted by a host of Premier League rivals
Southampton have joined Everton in taking an interest in the £35m-rated star
The Toffees had a bid turned down for the Icelandic playmaker last summer
Southampton have joined Everton, West Ham and Newcastle in the chase for Gylfi Sigurdsson.
The 27-year-old Swansea midfielder is valued at £35million though relegation could weaken the Welsh club’s bargaining power.
Everton, who had a bid rejected for the Icelandic playmaker last summer, remain keen on is signature.
Sigurdsson has been the standout player at the Liberty Stadium this season and whatever fate befalls his club it is inevitable he will remain in the Premier League.
Koeman remains a fan of Sigurdsson and is looking to make quality additions to his squad that will provide depth with Everton almost certain to be playing in the Europa League.
Southampton, meanwhile, are also keen on Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson while his teammate Charlie Taylor is a target for West Bromwich Albion.
