Chelsea are closing in on the league title, and now they are also moving in on colossal summer transfer targets.
The big progress being made is in the shape of Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk is close to finish, as reported by Neil Ashton in The Sun.
But they also have an eye on up-and-coming talent, with a move for 16-year-old Ajax forward Daishawn Redan on the cards. Redan has not gotten enough chance to show his worth for the Dutch Youth side this season having played only 59 minutes football without a goal but his showing on the ball gives many Big clubs in Europe huge confidence in the teenage future.
If they land both, it would be a nice win, as Manchester City are after Van Dijk, while Manchester United are chasing Redan.
Antonio Conte is surely looking at strengthening his squad ahead next year’s Champions League and considering the heavy fixtures the Blues will be involved in after their impressive showing this season.
The Stanford Bridge side are favorites for the English title this season despite a close push by North London side, Tottenham. The Blues are 4 points ahead having played the same number of games with their London rivals. Both teams have an outstanding game in hand going into week 36 of the 2016/2017 Premier League season.
