SPURS FACE HAMMERS THREAT – Tottenham title hope in Bilic’s litmus test

Premier League title contenders, Tottenham may be facing a huge threat to their title hopes when they file out against Slaven Bilic’s men in tonight’s week 36 premier league game.

Slaven Bilic has boasted that the first leg which ended 3-2 in favour of Spurs was a stiffly contested tie, while noting that their 1-0 victory against the White Hart lane side at Upton park last season was an electrifying moment he will never forget. “You don’t need extra motivation when you play against Tottenham. Last season’s game at Upton park, when we beat them 1-0, was one of the most electrifying atmospheres” he said.

But Tottenham has a duty to themselves to keep the chase on title favorites, Chelsea. Spurs need to win at London Stadium tonight to narrow the gap to just 1 point while they await Chelsea’s Monday night football against Boro to confirm their new status.

Meanwhile, Hammers are stuck in a relegation fight this season but are still able to fight their way out of the Championship zone. Bilic believes the game is open for both sides to pick the points. “This is a big match anyway, it is a derby, whether you need the points or not, it’s a derby game against Spurs at our stadium. They need points, we need points, so it is a massive game for us and a massive game for them. We will try to get the points that will mathematically secure our status” said the Croatian.
