SPANISH DELIVERY; REAL THRASH CELTA VIGO 4-1 TO KEEP LA LIGA TITLE WITHIN REACH

Spanish giants and UEFA Champions League finalist, Real Madrid rose to the occasion in the LA LIGA title chase by beating Celta Vigo 4-1 on Wednesday night

Two early goals by Cristiano Ronaldo gave Real the lead before John Guidetti scored one in response in the 69th minutes but Benzema was quick to respond to turn the scoreline to 1-3 at 70 minutes before Tony Kroos buried the game 2 minutes before regular time.

Barcelona had tallied with Los Blancos with both teams having 87 points each at week 37 but Real Madrid was waiting for tonight’s outstanding game against Celta Vigo to make a statement and that was exactly what the Galacticos did.

It will now require just a point in the last fixture against Malaga for the Zidane’s men to lift their 33rd Spanish title and their first since Jose Mourinho led the team to Spanish victory in the 2011/2012 season.
