Mohammad Sallah’s and Stephan El Shaarawy’s brace helped Roma edge Cheivo at Verona and reduced the gap to 1, between the Rome club and Juventus.
Roma came back twice in the game before leading to the end in a game that could be described as “scary at first sight”.
El Shaarawy canceled out Lucas Castro’s 15 minutes lead in the 28th minutes but the leveler didn’t last longer than 9 minutes before Roberto Inlgese put Chievo ahead again.
El Shaarawy and Sallah scored again in the 58th and 77th minutes respectively before Edin Dzeko gave it a finisher 7 minutes before the whistle to make it 5-2.
Inglese did reduce the deficit to 3, three minutes later but that didn’t change the score line better than 3-5 in favour of Roma.
Roma remain second on the log with 84 points and are now only one point different from table leaders, Juventus who have garnered 85 points so far.
Juventus host Crotone on Sunday afternoon and will need maximum points to seal their fifth Serie A trophy in five consecutive seasons in a penultimate game to the FINAL MATCH DAY.
