Chelsea star Eden Hazard has told reporters he’s not currently thinking about leaving the Blues for Real Madrid, but he would listen if Los Blancos offered him a deal.
He made the comments during a press conference while away on international duty for Belgium.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to the Spanish capital for years. He has never hidden his admiration for Blancos coach Zinedine Zidane, telling reporters the former France international is one of his idols.
The speculation peaked during the 2015-16 season as the Blues slumped to a disappointing campaign. Hazard has made significant impact in the rejuvenation of the club this season, and the rumours disappeared somewhat as a result.
Hazard has been with Chelsea since 2012, winning two Premier League titles and the UEFA Europa League. UEFA Champions League glory has so far evaded him, and after such a lengthy spell in west London, he could be ready for the next step in his career at the biggest club in the world.
A summer move seems unlikely, though. Hazard still has plenty of years left on his current contract, but the Belgian appears destined to represent the Spanish champions at some point in his career.
If Los Blancos show more seriousness within the transfer window, then impossible is nothing per this transfer rumour.
