Newcastle have entered negotiations to sign Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo on a season long loan , according to reports.
The Magpies returned to the Premier League after spending one season at the lower league under the leadership of Rafa Benitez who had earlier promised that they will return to top flight.
Benitez, who is a former Liverpool boss, has started plans to bolster his squad ahead of a hectic season in the Premier League, with reports that the Spaniard will raid the top flight for experienced players and promising talents.
Reports in the Independent claim that Newcastle are in talks with Liverpool over the possibility of signing Sheyi Ojo on loan.
The 20-year-old has been tipped to become one of the best players to take Liverpool to the next stage in future due to his impressive displays but has not been able to get a place in the first team, making just two appearances for the senior team.
It is understood that the Reds will allow Ojo leave in order to get some opportunities and experience, sparking interest from Burnley and Middlesbrough but Newcastle appears to be winning the race to sign him.
The youngster did well to impress during England’s triumph at the under 20 World Cup, and has shown to be able to play first team football with his loan spells at Wigan and Wolves
