Rangers fined after objects were thrown during Europa league tie

 

Rangers have been fined by Uefa after things were tossed from the Ibrox swarm amid their Europa League qualifying tie with Progres Niederkorn.

The Glasgow club must pay €7,000 (£6,250) following the episode amid the first-round match on 29 June.

Rangers won 1-0 in Glasgow however were beaten 2-0 in the arrival leg in Luxembourg.

The home leg denoted the Scottish Premiership club’s arrival to European competition following a six-year nonappearance.
