Sanches has been on the radar of Manchester United all summer, but the Italian giants – who have invested heavily in this window – are set to beat Jose Mourinho to the Portuguese star.

Costa Talks

Milan have held talks with Diego Costa’s agent Jorge Mendes about a move to Italy.

Costa is destined to leave Chelsea this summer after being frozen out by Antonio Conte and replaced by Alvaro Morata.

Costa wants a return to Atletico Madrid but they are under a transfer ban and couldn’t sign him until January.

Monaco have confirmed they are in talks to extend Kylian Mbappe’s contract and insist Thomas Lemar is staying at the club.

The French club have already confirmed they have not agreed a world-record £161m (€180m) transfer fee with Real Madrid for Mbappe, and have now said there will be no more departures from the club.

Manchester City have not made a bid for Mbappe, according to Sky sources, but after Pep Guardiola claimed “anything could happen” when it comes to the teenage striker, Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev revealed the club intend to keep Mbappe long term.

NEYMAR ‘AGREEMENT’

French newspaper L’Equipe are reporting that Paris St-Germain have reached an agreement with Neymar for his transfer from Barcelona.

However, apparently PSG do not want to pay the 222m euro release clause and are looking to negotiate a lower price.

It is reported that talks are ongoing but Neymar has agreed a five-year deal.

The Guinea international has a £48m release clause in his contract, although that does not become active until next summer.

Earlier this week, the German club said they had rejected a bid of over £67m from an unnamed club. Liverpool have had three bids rejected for the midfielder.
