MONACO LAUNCH SHOCK ALEXIS MOVE: WENGER REMAINS POSITIVE CHILEAN WILL STAY

The Sun reports that Monaco are ready to make a shock £45 million offer for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

With just one year remaining on his deal at the Emirates, the Chile international has been linked with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

But he could instead move to Monaco, who are ready to tempt him by offering £300,000-per-week wages after tax.

After selling Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy, Monaco appear ready to hit back with a mega-purchase of their own, with £150m having been raised from sales.

PSG are however a possible destination for the Chilean, as their successful capture of Neymar Jr. will now allow them focus on other transfer targets of their choice.

Arsene Wenger has also reiterated his stand that the former Barcelona forward will stay at the Emirates.

“He [Sanchez] is focused at the moment and my decision is clear, he will stay” says the Arsenal Manager.
