Manchester City are reportedly preparing to launch a £60m bid for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.
The two-time Premier League champions have been linked to the Chile international throughout the summer, but Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been adamant that the attacker is not for sale.
The 28-year-old’s future is still shrouded in doubt due to the fact that his contract expires at the Emirates next summer and there are no indications that Sanchez is close to agreeing fresh terms.
According to The Telegraph, City are going to make a last-ditch attempt to sign the forward for £60m, and the club are willing to pay the former Barcelona star £400,000 a week.
Sanchez did not feature in Arsenal’s 4-3 victory over Leicester City in their Premier League opener on Friday due to injury, which is expected to keep him out of Saturday’s trip to Stoke City.
Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Ousmane Dembele.
The Spanish giants have stepped up their transfer activity after selling Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record fee in the region of £196m.
Dembele fuelled rumours of a switch to the Camp Nou when he failed to turn up for training last week.
As a result, Dortmund have suspended the 20-year-old forward, whom they claim is not for sale this summer.
However, according to Sport, a £90m fee has been agreed between both parties, and an extra £27m in add-ons is currently being discussed
