Real Madrid were unable to keep the good start to the second half of the season going in the game against Levante, after having recently thrashed Deportivo and Valencia.
A goal from Pazzini in the 89th minute prevented the Whites picking up the three points after going ahead inside the first quarter of an hour at the Ciudad de Valencia.
A Kroos corner was met by Sergio Ramos who headed home to put the visitors in front in the 12th minute.
Marcelo almost opened the scoring moments earlier after linking up well with Benzema, but his effort from inside the six-yard box was off target.
The goal gave the madridistas confidence which saw them dominated from start to finish in the first half. However, just before the interval the home side leveled things up with a goal which came against the run of play.
Morales found himself one on one with Keylor Navas and the goalkeeper kept him out with a great save but the ball rebounded in to the path of Boateng who made it 1-1 in the 42nd minute. All square with 45 minutes to play.
The goal didn’t change the dynamic of the game in the second half as Real Madrid continued to dominate while Levante waited patiently, looking to hit on the counterattack.
The Whites came close again, this time a Cristiano Ronaldo free kick struck the defensive wall to keep the Portuguese forward out in the 56th minute.
Cristiano had another effort with 64 on the clock but Oier did enough to keep it out.
The minutes went by and Real Madrid came closer and closer to going back in front. Isco, who came on for Bale, sent in a shot on 72’ but it ended up in the hands on Oier.
The next chances were clear cut. The first came two minutes later, spectacular play from Benzema saw him beat four players before his shot was blocked by Postigo who deflected it behind for a corner. Kroos again delivered and Ramos met it with a delightful header but the home keeper pulled off a top class save to keep him out.
The Whites made no mistake with the next chance. Benzema worked hard to keep the ball in before pulling it back for Isco who fired home in the 81st minute. A deserved goal for the madridistas who looked like they were set to pick up the three points but it was not to be as Pazzini levelled in the last minute.
