Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has topped the list of the best tacklers in the English Premier League, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ndidi has featured in 26 EPL games for Leicester City so far this season.
According to the Leicester Mecury, The Super Eagles star has made 113 successful tackles this season, 28 more than his closest rival.
Everton’s Idrissa Gueye is in second place with 85 successful tackles.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Dembele is rated the third while Manchester City’s Fernandinho and Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante are in fourth and fifth places.
The Nigerian international also ties Crystal Palace Luka Milivojevic for the most fouls committed in the EPL.
Both players have committed 52 fouls.
Liverpool are keen to make a move to sign Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City in the summer, according to reports.
The Nigerian midfielder has often been touted as a target for the Reds and it seems they are genuinely considering a pursuit of the youngster in the summer, with Jurgen Klopp claimed to be an admirer of his talents.
Ndidi has been a major success at Leicester since arriving in England and has often been a standout performer for them over the course of the last 18 months.
f reports are to be believed, Klopp wants to recruit another central midfielder along with the incoming Naby Keita this summer, with Ndidi emerging as a potential option.
Leicester will be keen to retain the services of their holding midfielder given his importance to the side, but it seems a move certainly could be made by the Reds as they look to bolster their options in the middle of the park.
