Turkey’s Fenerbache has signed Algerian footballer Islam Slimani from England’s Leicester City, the Istanbul-based club has revealed.
Fenerbache said the 30-year-old striker has joined the club on a season-long loan.
Slimani has also played in Portugal’s Sporting CP and another two clubs in Algeria. He also plays for his country’s national team
The Leicester forward was sent on loan by Claud Puel to the Tyne side and is now set for another loan spell in Turkey.
The arrival of Maddison, and the choice of Manager Puel of Kelechi Iheanacho alongside Jamie Vardy trimmed the chances of the Algerian for a starting shirt at the King Power Stadium.
