Manchester United are “angry” and “incensed” with The Sun over their latest update on the situation between Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho.
The Sun claimed on Thursday morning that Pogba and Mourinho, who have long been at reported loggerheads, were involved in an ‘amazing bust-up’ earlier this week.
Their relationship has been under intense scrutiny of late, with Pogba suggesting he “would be fined” if he spoke his mind.
But United have wasted little time in rubbishing the reports, through the medium of Sky Sports reporter James Cooper.
“Manchester United have spoken to me this morning,” he told Sky Sports News.
“Which is very rare and unusual for Manchester United to react to stories at all, particularly to react so angrily.
“And they are angry, they are incensed, they’re telling me there was no bust up between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba.
“The reports of this are absolute nonsense.
