Julen Lopetegui’s position is already under threat, with Real Madrid board members reportedly meeting on Monday to discuss the possibility of removing the coach.
Real appointed Lopetegui in the summer, when the coach was removed as Spain manager on the eve of the World Cup finals.
But the Champions League winners have struggled since the exits of Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo. Real have lost three out of their last four having failed to score in each of those matches.
Lopetegui wasn’t too concerned last week but his side sit fifth in La Liga and though it was claimed over the weekend that Florentino Perez would give the new coach more time, Spanish outlet Onda Cero is reporting that a board meeting is due to take place on Monday lunchtime to decide his fate.
