Samir Nasri is undergoing a medical at West Ham ahead of signing a short-term deal.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder is currently serving an 18-month ban after receiving an intravenous treatment at a Los Angeles clinic in December 2016 in breach of World Anti-Doping Agency rules.
However, that suspension finishes at the end of December, and the 31-year-old has been free to train with a club since the start of November.
Now he is set to sign a deal with West Ham.
It will mean a reunion with manager Manuel Pellegrini, with whom he won the second of his two Premier League titles while at Manchester City.
Nasri was given a six-month ban by UEFA over the intravenous treatment in February before it was extended to 18 months in August, with the suspension backdated to July 1, 2017
