Bruno Fernandes’ agent Miguel Pinho is set to fly to England to hold further talks with any parties interested in signing the midfielder, including Liverpool, according to a report from Portugal today.
Fernandes has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, amidst interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham, although Sporting are yet to receive any official bids for his services.
Pinho will venture to England either today or tomorrow in order to thrash out talks with the three aforementioned sides, to then fly back to Sporting to present concrete bids.
Despite the reported €100m release clause inserted in the 25-year-old’s contract, no team is currently willing to offer more than €55m for the Portugal international, who remains calm about the situation.
With an astonishing 32 goals and 18 assists in 53 appearances for Sporting last season, Fernandes would undisputedly be an exciting addition at Anfield and add extra creative impetus from midfield.
