Chelsea and England winger Hudson-Odoi trained with teammates at Cobham on Tuesday, training for the first time since being arrested at the weekend on suspicion of rape
Callum Hudson-Odoi returned to Chelsea’s training ground with teammates on Tuesday.
A number of players returned for individual tests and some group training at the club’s Cobham base.
England winger Hudson-Odoi was one of those present, before being pictured leaving on Tuesday afternoon.
It’s understood that Blues boss Frank Lampard gave the green light for the young winger to return to small group training.
It was the first time he has been seen publicly since his arrest in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 19 year-old was arrested on suspicion of rape, with the Metropolitan Police confirming they and the London Ambulance Service had been called to ‘a report of an unwell woman’.
A Met Police spokesman declared: “Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 03:53hrs on Sunday, 17 May to a report of an unwell woman.
“When emergency services attended, a woman reported that she was raped. She was taken to hospital.
“A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of rape. He was released from custody and bailed to return on a date in mid-June.”
Chelsea have so far declined to comment.
Hudson-Odoi posted a negative coronavirus test after being tested by medical staff on Monday.
He was subsequently allowed to be involved in non-contact training after players were given their results at 2pm on Tuesday afternoon – with their first session in more than 70 days subsequently taking place two hours later.
Chelsea elected to put stars together in groups of five, each with their own designated coach.
Those groups were kept apart, with boss Lampard leading a group involving Hudson-Odoi, fit-again USA international Christian Pulisic, N’Golo Kante, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Kurt Zouma.
Another involved Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Jorginho and Andreas Christensen, while a third featured Michy Batshuayi, Antonio Rudiger, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Reece James and Mateo Kovacic.
